I took early retirement from my day job at the University of Strathclyde at the end of September 2008. Almost immediately, I increased my workload in Lifelong Learning!
Since I began working part-time as a tutor in Lifelong Learning, I have become quite passionate about it, with a particular interest in introducing IT topics to older adults.
One of my other passions is the electric guitar, in particular the Fender Stratocaster (mention of which creeps in to my classes from time to time) and the Burns Marvin.In the last couple of years, I have become interested the the Nordic noir genre of crime fiction running a half-day summer class and a full ten-week afternoon class on the subject
